GP Enterprise Awards winners revealed

The Upton Surgery in Worcestershire has been voted the overall winner of the GP Enterprise Awards 2010.

Upton Surgery had won the Practice Team award in the first round of judging, before all readers of GP newspaper were asked to vote for their favourite category winner.
The rural practice launched a complex care team, providing a multi-agency approach to supporting patients with acute needs, and saved £148,000 in one year.
Senior partner Dr Susanna Everitt will travel to London in November to be presented with a prize of £4,000.
She said: 'Our strategy has been to integrate with colleagues and patients to get everyone working towards the same ends.'
The GP Enterprise Awards are organised by GP newspaper in association with the RCGP, and sponsored by the Medical Defence Union.
