- NHS to reduce its carbon footprint

The NHS has committed to reduce its carbon footprint. It is aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 60 per cent by 2050 in all areas. (www.sdu.nhs.uk).

- Australia wants UK doctors

UK doctors are being called upon to take up a new job overseas as part of a drive to address skills shortages in Australia, according to relocation specialist Crown Relocations. The Australian Medical Association is calling for urgent action (www.crownworldwide.com).

- Tobacco consultation
