National network for practice managers launches

A new national network for practice management aiming to connect members and share resources is launching.

The NHS Practice Management Network is run by practice managers for practice managers with help from the Institute of Healthcare Management, NHS Alliance, BMA, National Association of Primary Care, AMSPAR, RCGP and the Family Doctor Association.

The DoH is providing some support in its early stages.

Its first publication, ‘Improving access, responding to patients: a ‘how to' guide for GP practices' will be sent to all practices this month.

It brings together a range of practical case studies from around the UK with the strengths and weaknesses of different systems, products and processes, simple step-by-step guides and tips to facilitate implementation.
