Letters, calls and emails: We already delegate everything possible

Dear Editor

I was interested to read Dr Millares Martin's article in last week's GP. The model presented looked wonderful and most GPs would see great value in adopting this type of working regime.

Unfortunately, Dr Martin was a little vague about what exactly he was going to delegate to other practice team members.

We have tried for a number of years to delegate as much as is humanly possible to other practice team members and therefore would find it extremely difficult to adopt such a model. However, we may be missing some good opportunities to streamline practices in the surgery and would like to hear more.

Moira Winton, practice manager, Lothian.
