HIV rising

Rates of HIV in the UK are continuing to rise with 5,560 new HIV diagnoses reported for 2005 so far, according to figures published by the Health Protection Agency last week. The total is expected to exceed 7,750 once all reports are in, representing a 6 per cent rise on 2004.
