Health secretary to speak at this year's RCGP conference

Embattled health secretary Andrew Lansley has agreed to speak at this year's RCGP conference in Liverpool.

The event takes place at the ACC from 20-22 October and early bird discounts are available for GPs booking before 27 June.

This year's conference theme is Diversity in Practice, and aims to look at the variety of ways in which GPs deliver healthcare and the different communities in which they work.

Mr Lansley gave the keynote address at the 2010 conference in Harrogate, when he was in optimistic mood about the reforms he was planning.
