Health secretary Andrew Lansley to speak at Commissioning 2012

Health secretary Andrew Lansley is to speak at Commissioning 2012 in central London on Wednesday.

Mr Lansley is scheduled to take part in a plenary session chaired by National Association of Primary Care chairman Dr Charles Alessi between 5 and 5.45pm at Kensington Olympia.

GP is one of the event’s media partners. Look out for tweets from our team #CommShow and coverage at GPonline.com.

Commissioning 2012 is one of the UK’s largest GP events. Over 3,000 GPs, healthcare leaders and local authority stakeholders leading the way delivering better patient services will attend.

Our exclusive video content will include case studies presented at the event where GPs have been successful in redesigning and improving patient care. These can be used as templates by other clinical commissioning groups to help with their authorisation before April 2013.

One of the highlights of the second day of the event will be a plenary session with Dame Barbara Hakin, the NHS Commissioning Board national managing director of commissioning development, between 3.35 and 4.30pm on Thursday also chaired by Dr Alessi.
