Superannuation for GPs is the focus of the Pensions Seminar to be held by the Healthcare Group at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

The seminar, to be held at Chartered Accountants Hall on July 11 will focus on the proposed changes to the NHS Pension scheme including plans to increase the retirement age to get new members, the increased contribution rates, and the changes to dynamisation.

The seminar will also give accountancy professionals an update on the 2006/7 superannuation certificate from the team who are working with the NHS and the Pensions Department on amendments and improvements.

The final briefing will be on Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS). The session will look at who can hold an APMS contract and what APMS means for general practice.
