The future of prescribing in primary care

The future of prescribing will be covered in a session that focuses particularly on the work and impact of nurse prescribers.

Speakers at the RCGP Conference 2010 will include Professor Molly Courtenay, professor of clinical practice in prescribing and medicines management at the university of Surrey, and prescribing adviser for the Association for Nurse Prescribing.

The session will examine how nurse prescribing has been implemented in practice and how it benefits service delivery.

Professor Courtenay is due to be joined by London nurse prescriber Jane Haywood and formulary development pharmacist Omar Ali, from Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust.
