GPs running projects that aim to drive up clinical quality in primary care have been invited to bid for cash from a £2.4 million fund by the Health Foundation charity. The charity will back up to six projects in total, focusing on conditions that are commonly treated in primary care. The projects could also look at the needs of particular population groups, such as children. Assistant director Wendy Buckley said: 'The Engaging with Quality in Primary Care award scheme offers busy clinicians the resources to involve themselves more fully in quality improvement initiatives.'
