Course encourages leadership for practice nurses

Practice nurses can look forward to being at the heart of the decision-making process that affects their role in general practice if a new government initiative is adopted.

The DoH’s Working in Partnership Programme (WiPP) has a new practice nursing leadership course aimed at senior nurses keen to take up a leadership position but needing the tools and resources to do so.

A total of 15 nurses have already benefited from the two-day course.

The aim is to form a network of general practice nurse leaders.
