RCGP Curriculum - 15.7 Neurological Problems

This section of our curriculum guide refers to statement 15.7, Neurological Problems, produced by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP).

Neurological symptoms may be an indication of a purely neurological disorder, or a multi-system disease. They may be self-limiting or more serious and GPs must be able to evaluate each patient and assess their need for further tests or referral.

The management of epilepsy is a key competence for general practice, and all GPs should be competent in the management of neurological emergencies.
