Brown's screening plan will devour resources

Screening is only the first step; then comes documenting the data and acting on it, either by follow-up or secondary referral.

Then someone has to process referral letters, prescribe medication and follow up, not to mention the phone calls to the surgery and appointments to discuss results, and so on.

Does the budget cover all that as well, or is this just another wonderful, underfunded plan for the sake of propaganda?

Dr N Gaballa, Sheldon, Birmingham.
