All tied up

The bowel cancer screening programme will be rolled out across England from April this year as planned, the DoH has said. Just days before the health White Paper was published, there were fears the programme would be delayed or cancelled due to lack of funds. GP Dr Howard Stoate, a Labour MP for Dartford in Kent and a member of the House of Commons' health select committee, pictured supporting Beating Bowel Cancer's loud tie campaign, said: 'The programme will save thousands of lives.'
