Pilot QOF indicators launched this week
By Sanjay Tanday, 02 October 2009
Video - Practices across England have this week begun piloting the first set of new clinical indicators for the quality framework for 2011.
Speaking at Primary Care Live in east London yesterday, Professor Helen Lester, deputy director of the National Primary Care Research and Development Centre, which is leading the review of indicators, said that 30 practices were now testing out the indicators.
Professor Lester said that the process would help to produce more robust and reliable indicators for the QOF, and encouraged GPs to put forward their own ideas for indicators.
‘They can submit ideas to NICE on their website, to be considered by the QOF development panel,' she said.
